Why Amarante exists

Understanding before
the transaction.

We believe the most useful thing a supplement business can offer is not always a supplement.

Nature invites us to ask why

Curiosity grows in the natural world.

Science helps us understand which observations hold up to careful testing. We believe the best answers respect both wonder and evidence.

Many supplement websites begin with products, promotions and promises. That is a familiar retail model. We want to begin with a different question: What would actually help you make a sound decision?

The values we stand for. Our principles include: “Educate, Test and Learn”; “Community Driven”; and “We Nurture Vitality Through Science and Community.” These principles shape how we explain the evidence, discuss uncertainty and support informed decisions. Read our original story →

We will not confuse marketing with science.

Consumers deserve to know when evidence is meaningful, mixed or absent. They deserve to know why a study matters, what it does not establish, and why a certain nutrient might be relevant to one person but not another.

We value the decision not to buy.

Responsible education sometimes leads a reader to a conversation with their pharmacist, an improvement in nutrition, or the conclusion that a supplement is unnecessary. We consider that a worthwhile outcome.

We do intend to offer products.

When shopping arrives at Amarante, we will disclose where we have a commercial interest. Educational content must not disguise an advertisement. Our commercial relationships and our source-selection standards should be visible.

Trust must be demonstrated.

That means transparent sourcing, visible corrections, careful claims, clear safety information and the willingness to say “we don't know yet.” Those standards are a commitment we must earn through what we publish—not a claim of independence we can assume.
